Welcome to A Storage Place - Montrose! We provide clean, secure, and comfortable storage for your personal and business needs. We are ideally located 7 miles south of Montrose, Colorado and about 20 minutes north of Ridgway, Colorado. We're also only 15 minutes from Ridgway State Park, perfect for your boat and RV storage.

Facility Security is our Top Priority

Your safety and the security of your belongings is our top priority. Therefore, you will often see our staff members making daily rounds, checking locks, clearing out snow and ice, and fixing anything that needs attention. We keep all of our units clean and ready for immediate rental.

Security cameras and lights are placed throughout the facility while our manager lives on site. The facility is completely fenced and gated, with access code required, 5am to 9pm daily, including weekends and holidays. Our office is open 7 days a week from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sundays. We account for each person coming and going through our gate to make sure no one is in the facility that should not be. Here, at A Storage Place, you can rest assured that your stored property is safe.

We've Got Packing Supplies & Moving Trucks

Do you need packing supplies such as boxes, tape, and furniture covers? Or maybe a truck or trailer to transport your property? Then come to us! We have everything you need for moving - we're your one-stop shop for Montrose storage & moving!

We are also an official U-Haul Dealer. You can pick up or drop off any U-Haul equipment with us. When you come to pick up a trailer, we hook it up for you and if you’re dropping one off, we unhook it, making sure it’s quick and easy for you. Also, if you need to make a reservation or have a question, you can call us and one of our staff members will be happy to assist you at no charge.

Affordable, Convenient, Easy Storage

Our Montrose storage facility has a separate entrance right off Hwy 550 for semi-trucks and very large driveways for RV and semi drivers to easily maneuver. All of our storage units are ground level so that you don’t have to deal with stairs or elevators. Most of the units are direct drive-ups, but some of our smaller ones are inside of a well-lit hallway, making it comfortable to sort through your storage unit when the weather is uncooperative.
